I agree with you to a certain extent, Tracy. I agree that we need to use some of our resources to help each other and to make a difference in the world. I'm concerned with distributing money 'equally'. You may not intend this, but to me that implies an imbalance -that some can manifest more readily than others. I'm very cautious of the scarcity mind-set which says that in order for one person to gain, someone else has to lose. Distributing can be seen as the ones with more 'losing' so those with less can 'gain' an equitable share. I think there's more than enough for everyone. Rather than distributing wealth, why not help everyone learn how they can create wealth themselves without it needing to be given to them because they couldn't make it happen.

And while I believe in doing things for the planet and for helping others, I also think it's totally OK to spend some of your money to do what you enjoy and for you alone. To sacrifice what you want again implies scarcity - that there's not enough for you to enjoy and for others to benefit. I think you can do both, can't you? After all, you can't be a 'little abundant'. :) We're here to live life fully, and money can enable us to experience much that we can't without it. So let's use it.

I find it intriguing that so many people (including myself), after the Secret, got so caught up with the law of attraction. After time of creating a vision board and countless affirmations, I finally realized I had to be true to me (my souls calling). I've changed my vision many times before I finally figured out what is really important and true to me.
I laugh at the fact that I started with the idea of putting a BMW on my board. I really don't care if I ever own a BMW. What was I thinking? There are many universal laws that apply in our everyday lives, not just the LOA.
Not everyone is here to collect a whole bunch of money and live a wealthy lifestyle in this lifetime either--let's face it! But money does help us get where we need to go.
My whole issue with heaps of Wealth is the question "How is it being distributed?" That’s energy too!
Some people with heaps of wealth might cut a check for $10,000 without blinking an eye for a good cause, which is wonderful! I just question, 'what is their true intention?' Is it for 'show', to say to people, "hey, don ‘t you think I am so great?' If it's from their heart, and the ego is in the back seat, then wonderful!
Wealth is great! So long as it's serving a good purpose. In today's world, it would make sense that we spend our money on things that benefit the world as whole. We might want to consider our landfills, oceans, and air and think about how much gas it's going to take to drive around in our cars. (Is there really a need a Hummers? Like seriously!)
I don't judge people who have heaps of wealth; my only concern is if that wealth is supporting the good for all! This might fall under the law of karma.
I think the new generation is going to demand more fairness and worldly distribution of wealth, along with environmental awareness; people are more concerned about the good of all people: the old model was ‘what’s in for me’. As we all know, many people have abused wealth, so I can understand why many people attach negative feelings with it.
I think its best to stick with what the most fundamental root of purpose is here, and that is to follow your passion, rather than chasing wealth--the money will come.
